Fire Alarm Project Manager

Join Argus Fire Protection as a Fire Alarm Project Manager for the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects throughout New Zealand.

Argus is a well-known company with over 30 years' experience in the fire protection industry. The company covers all aspects including fire system design, installation and ongoing testing and maintenance of fire systems.

We currently have a vacancy for a Fire Alarm Project Manager in our Auckland office. The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of competence in pricing and installation of all aspects of fire alarm systems.

Candidates must demonstrate:

  • Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of Health & Safety systems.
  • High level experience & competency in fire alarm systems.
  • Competency in all aspects of contracting.
  • Practical technical knowledge and understanding of fire protection systems of all types, have worked in the industry for some time and know the regulations and standards preferably with industry qualifications.
  • Excellent understanding of standard industry practice for the design and installation of fire alarm systems.
  • Unquestionable communication skills.
  • Excellent computer literacy.
  • Excellent record keeping and report compilation skills.
  • High level of personal hygiene.

 

Responsibilities within this role will include:

  • Representing the company with Architects, Engineers and Consultant.
  • Ensuring compliance on health and safety.
  • Management of cost effective purchasing of labour and materials.
  • Achieving further sales of the company's products and services.
  • Monitoring of jobs to meet agreed completion dates and budgets.
  • Provision of technical information, advice and assistance.

 

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have the ability to be cool under pressure and able to negotiate between different stakeholders and will have a strong track record in organising resources efficiently and effectively in a cost effective manner.

Success in this role is achieved by demonstrating accomplishments and having a proactive approach for positive outcomes but most of all to be part of the team.
