Fire Alarm Service Manager 

Argus Fire Protection is a well known company with over 30 years experience in the fire protection industry. The company covers all aspects including fire system design, installation and ongoing testing and maintenance of fire systems.  The Wellington business has grown from strength to strength and prides itself on exceeding its customers expectations.

We currently have a vacancy for a highly motivated proactive and innovative individual to take on the position of Fire Alarm Service Manager based in our Wellington office. This role comes with high expectations for its continued success in the market place. If you are this person then you will be required to demonstrate:

  • Competency and strong understanding of fire alarms with at least five years experience.
  • Exceedingly high expectations, a strong proactive approach and ownership of Health and Safety and Staff Welfare
  • Understanding of the relevant NZ Standards, NZ Building Code and local building compliance regulations.
  • A passion to deliver outstanding customer service
  • Have a proven service alarm background and track record.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Be a hands on, practical person with good technical ability
  • Be honest, self-motivated and have a passionate desire to be successful
  • The ability to provide solutions to and develop relationships with customers
  • Computer literacy using Microsoft products and quoting programs
  • The ability to manage multiple customers and priorities
  • Meet and exceed customer expectation

 

Other responsibilities within this role will include:

 

  • Mentoring, coaching and continues development and support for your technicians
  • Achieving & exceeding monthly targets further sales of the company's products and services
  • A natural inquisitive and proactive approach toward day to day issues

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the ability to be cool under pressure and able to think on their feet and show a high ability to negotiate between different stakeholders and will have a strong track record in organising resources efficiently and effectively in a cost effective manner.

Success in this role is achieved by demonstrating accomplishments and having a proactive approach for positive outcomes but most of all to be part of the team.
